Through the VoIP-X Virtual PoP service, we can deploy and operate a PoP anywhere in the world on behalf of a customer. From the PoP VoIP-X can establish interconnects for and on behalf of our Virtual PoP customer using either an IP interconnect or a E1/SS7 Interconnect.

From the Virtual PoP we backhaul the voice traffic back to our customer's facility, where we hand it over as either IP or TDM.

Effective Backhaul
The backhaul is very bandwidth-effective, a fact of particular importance in markets where bandwidth is still at a Premium. Because of the prorietary technology we deploy, we are able to carry a call in G.729 quality, including all overhead, in just 8.5Kbps. Compared with SIP that uses 24Kbps per channel, this amounts to significant bandwidth savings, while maintaining toll-grade voice quality.

VoIP-X manages all aspects of the technical interconnect process and fulfilment. The service is white labelled and our customer retains full ownership over the commercial relationship with interconnected parties from the Virtual PoP. VoIP-X charges a flat monthly fee per minute or per E1 depending on our customers requirement.

The virtual PoP is typically deployed in less than 7 days in a data centre, or at the facilities of the party our customer wants to interconnect with.

Whilst proactively monitoring the Virtual PoP from our NOC we provide extensive monitoring capability to our customer, to monitor calls, E1 status, bandwidth quality and other service aspects.

The service allow operators to extend their network reach quickly without spending any CapEx and with predictable, low, pay-as-you-use cost.
